Fee-only advice with fiduciary care
As a financial advisor who has worked in both corporate and independent firms, Allan Phillips quickly became disillusioned with the state of the industry and the incentives for advisors to sell their clients products they simply don’t need. This is why he founded Tree Street Advisory.
Most people assume that working as a physician or owning your own business is a cakewalk, but we know you pay a high price to do what you do. Allan’s father worked as a dentist, so he understands just how much medical professionals and business owners put into their careers, often working incredibly long hours and sacrificing precious time with family.

Allan’s mission is to provide working physicians and e-commerce business owners with sound financial advice to help them optimize their business and personal finances. In addition to providing a holistic approach to financial planning, Allan aspires to build long-lasting, trusting relationships with his clients.
Before founding Tree Street Advisory, Allan worked in the insurance industry for over ten years. He brings his expertise in insurance to Tree Street, offering his clients unique insights into determining their insurance and protection needs. After he left insurance, Allan worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor in the bank channel. He then left the corporate world for an independent advisory firm, where he planned his next moves in the finance industry and worked on finding the best ways to serve his clients.
Allan graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. He now holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, which requires comprehensive knowledge in all areas of financial planning, including insurance planning, risk management, employee benefits planning, investment planning, income tax planning, retirement planning, and estate planning. Allan is a proud member of The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and XY Planning Network.
When he’s not working, Allan enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids. He is heavily involved in his children’s Scout groups, of which all three kids are members—including his daughter! Although he’s given up his dream of being a rock star, Allan still enjoys writing and performing music whenever he has the chance.
